Youth Mentorship
All About ReRoute
ReRoute is dedicated to serving Latino youth aged 11-17 who are facing academic or behavioral challenges, high absenteeism, or potential suspension. By addressing systemic barriers and providing direct support, we help youth and their families navigate challenges in education, the court systems, and at home.
ReRoute requires pre-registration. To learn more, please email Maria Hernandez, or call 206-743-5232.
In addition to Centro Rendu locations in Kent and Renton, our ReRoute ‘Mentorship’ program is now being offered in five high schools in the Kent School District.
Meet Dianel, a remarkable young woman whose story exemplifies not only the potential within our young people but also the incredible resilience of those living on the margins.
Program Details:

- Go on trips, meet new people, and get involved in your community
- Dance to traditional Latino music and learn folkloric steps that bring culture to life
- Create art and tell your story through cool projects and activities
- Build real friendships with other youth who understand where you’re coming from
A ReRoute ‘cohort’ is made up of 20 young people who meet consistently for six months. Cohort activities include weekly, in-person group lessons and advocacy at school to help improve academic performance.
